Our second episode of RetRead Podcast is now up! We got together to discuss RL Stine’s The New Girl, the first book in the Fear Street series. To be honest, we didn’t know if there’d be much to talk about. As it turns out, we ended up discussing (or arguing) for almost an hour and a half. A good half hour of it was actually just the two of us debating the (im)possibilities of the Cory/Lisa relationship. Surge is a huge fan of the “girl next door” trope, while Anna is more of a realist. It got pretty heated. We did end up cutting a bit of it since you guys probably aren’t too interested in 2 people yelling at each other for 30 minutes. We are actually still arguing about it 4 days later.
